Contest Guidelines
Contest submissions may only be made by using the On-Line contest form to eliminate use of paper products.
Each contestant will receive a certificate of appreciation by email to minimize the use of paper products. Please ensure your contact information is correct as the Department of Conservation and Recreation will not be responsible if a contest winner cannot be contacted.
All contestants will automatically be enrolled to receive the Virginia State Parks e-newsletter. Other than this enrollment, your web address, name and phone number will not be shared or sold. Only the names of contest winners will be announced in the e-newsletter and on the Virginia State Parks web page.
To be eligible for the contest, the submission must be received by midnight October 31, 2008.
Submissions after the 10/31/2008 deadline are welcome and will receive the certificate of appreciation, but will not be eligible for contest prizes.
In the event multiple entries are received with the same winning idea, a random drawing will be conducted to determine the prize winner.
The Department of Conservation and Recreation will determine prize winners and their decision will be final.
Prize winners will be notified by email no later than December 31, 2008.
While we welcome suggestions from agency employees, Department of Conservation and Recreation employees and their families are ineligible for contest prizes.
Prizes are non-transferable.
Overnight stays are subject to availability and may be applied to longer stays.
